Zeitronix zt-2 anyone using?
I jsut purchased the zt-2 from zeitronix. It comes with wideband o2, EGT, and boost gauge. Does anyone have this installed in their EVO, and if so how did you roite the wires. Also where did you weld the bung for the 02 sensor. Just wondering because I am getting my exhaust made in the next few weeks and wondering if it would be easier to weld then.

i have the ZT-2 on my porsche. it works really well. did you get the LCD display with it? or are you just planning on datalogging to a pc? i am using the ZT-2 in conjuntion with an SAFC-2 on the porsche to get on the fly tunability. it eliminates the need for dyno tuning for minor changes.

also, make sure you don't put the WB02 to close to the turbo or else you can burn the sensor up quicker. they can provide you with recommended distance from the turbo, and i think it is about 16 inches or more. i don't remember, but i do know i had to mount mine after the downpipe (but before the cat), because the downpipe didn't have enough distance.

Thanks for the input. With the bung right after the downpipe how did you run the wire into the unit? Through the floorboard? Also installing SAFC-2, so hopefully goes in easily.

my ZT-2 install was on my porsche which is setup much different then the evo (944 is a front mount 4 cylinder mounted front to back, not sideways like the evo is. therefor the downpipe was right up against the firewall, with the wastegate actually underneath the car. i ran the cables to the side of the car, up the inner fenderwell with the fuel lines, into the engine compartment, through the firewall with the main engine harness.
the cord that comes with the ZT-2 is plenty long for any application. you will not have any problems wiring it anyway you want.
