Why would you even put oem in there? I voted for ACT cheap and very effective. I can buy 4 for one exedy twin disk.

The WORKS CK2 Clutch upgrade is pretty amazing. I'm running about 340 bhp and it's holding up great.

They don't have the Evo VIII listed, but I have already been in contact with them confirming that they have fitments. This is the Kush-Lock disc that many had good luck with on the drag Hondas/Acuras on sticky gumballs. Pay attention to the last few lines as I, among others, have proved it to be a good disc. I was quoted $95 for the disc. I'm thinking of running it with an ACT PP. Then again, I've not talked to them in length about their PP's.

Also look at the "Smooth Lock Pro" as they specifically mention it for rally racing.

Zeus I think the problem is finding a clutch that is durable and good longevity combined with the feature of not being too grabby that it aids in the destruction of transfer case. I think this is why the multiplates are popular because you can slip them and they last just as long since the discs share the abuse and they won't kill the transefer case as a result. Yes? No? I'm going to need a clutch soon, too.

I have researched clutches quite a bit lately cause mines going out and I found that the ACT is the best bang for the buck

Unless your going all out racing and can drop the money into a twin plate exedy which is probably a better clutch but costs about 3x as much.

Choice depends on intended usage. ACT sets are bargains for non-race but aggressive driving apps. Adaquate clamping force for stock turbo IC setups, nearly stock pedal, light enough to allow quick spooling.

Keep in mind Clutchnet was merely a suggestion... Many have used their discs both on and off the track with great results.

I think people need to realize that choosing a clutch is just like choosing a tire... everyone has their favorite brands. Just like tires, there are different trade offs. People need to focus on what they want from the component, before they try to focus on which brand they want. As far as multi disc clutches... well, 90% of Evo owners don't NEED one. You can kill drivetrain components with any type clutch. Sorry, I'm tired and will comment more later...
