Greddy Type-S Lower Vacuum Port Connection...

For those of you that have the lower vacuum port connected, where did you connect it to?

The lower port is not a vacuum port...it is meant to be connected to a pressure source.

That being said, you should try to connect it as close the the intake manifold as possible, but still pre-throttle body (or you will have vacuum when off throttle). You want the pressure going to that bottom nipple as close to the pressure in the intake manifold as possible, otherwise the BOV may not hold boost very well and open early.

But im still courious bout the little port should i t off a vac. line to the small port also. But thanks Chinto for the website all look over it agian and take another swing at it!

i did the single spring mod done on my greddy type s and i put about 5 1/2 turns on the screw. I dont know if thats enough but i do hear the valve opening at low boost. Whats a good adjustment?

though its not ideal (i plan on moving it to the Upper intercooler pipe by the throttle body) i have mine tapped into the vac line port on the turbo's compressor housing (Boost Control Input)

no flutter, no surge.... works flawlessly

if you use the anti surge port you MUST use both springs

i did the single spring mod, but I realized that if I blow air into the top port, there is air leaking from the small lower port. I am thinking if it's the way it supposed to be, or it's my BOV is leaky and I might want to plug the small lower port so it doesn't leak at boost (or lose vacuum at idle)?

i can blow air 2 in to the small port - and it comes out the bottom
i was told you are suppost to plug the small port or have it on a return.

So let me ask where ist eh best place to grab the positive pressure from the manifold. I thought a vacum source turned into positive pressure when you go into boost am I wrong?

Don'e ever do this mod. I made the mistake, got a poor idle and messed up AFR's. The idle vacuum is enought to pull the valve wide open messing up your MAF metering as the metered air slips back it the turbo inlet again.

Hrmm.. I've ran the single spring and have no problems with my idle or AFR. Been almost a year since I've had the BOV on there.
