HELP: Transmission humming...

I recently installed the Exedy Twin Disk clutch. It was installed at Mitsubishi. I broke the clutch in at 500 miles in the normal stop and go fasion. Today I thought i'd do a 3rd gear pull at WOT and see how it's running. Well after the pull, I let go off the gas and i hear this humming noise that seems to be coming from my transmission. I tried another pull and same thing. THis time it happend while I was pulling and after as well. Apprently im not feeling any power loss and it doesnt feel like something is coming lose. What do you guys think it is and what should I do ?

Krunal

either your transfer case is screwed......or it is normal noise from the exedy. if you read the info included with your clutch...it does say that it may cause an increase in abnormal sound form the tranny...

most likely it has to do with the clutch......and it's totally normal.....if it get louder....like really loud.....it's your TC. hopefully it isn't

****. If it is my transfer case - how bad is it? I mean, is it really bad for the car? Should I take it to mitsubishi ASAP?

Don't take it to the dealer with the Excedy clutch in it. They will deny your warantee in a second. Dealers and their techs are trained to diagnose problems with a stock car the way it came from the factory. You can't expect them to sort out problems with aftermarket parts they are unfamiliar with and then do it for free under warantee. No way.

It was the transfer case. We put a magnet in where the oil goes and found a bunch of meta. I decided im going to relace it for now and send off the broken one to TeamRIP.com to fix and beef up. Also im going to buy a TRE tranny from them as well.
