revolver or hks 272 cams?
i can't decide whether to go with revolver or hks. there is about a $400 difference betweent the two and i'm not sure if it's worth it. you do get springs and retainers with the revolver, but is the hp and torque that much better with them over the hks. my current mods are s-afcII, 3in. turbo-back, walbro fuel pump, buschur intake, buschur upper intercooler pipe. not sure what the future holds on upgrading turbo. if i do get a bigger turbo it won't be anytime soon. if i go with the hks the $400 that i save could go towards a flash from dynoflash so i'm leaning towards the hks unless you guys can convince me otherwise. thanx jason

I can make several points here:
(1) I have yet to see anything regarding the Revolver cams in the way of hard dyno data, although the reports I've heard have been mixed.
(2) It has been proven on several occasions that the HKS cams are capable of reaching the absolute limits of the factory turbo (and larger turbos as well), so that indicates there are no 'limiting factors' inherent to HKS cams.
Taking these two point into consideration, and taking into account the $400 difference, the decision seems obvious to me. I might also add that no matter which you choose, you are leaving power on the table without at least a reflash or better. This being said, you're better off applying the $400 toward something you'll need anyway (ECU tuning) if you're going to get serious about making power.
