I can't say if it feels properly b/c I never driven an MR or eVo before....It feels the same as day one...It pulls nicely compared to my prelude but that doesn't mean its functionally properly since the gauge's reading isn't proper.....

You are talking about the rubber black tubing that goes into the boost gauge right? I dont think its plastic unless we are talkin about different things...what do you mean by kink? I dont think I kinked or twisted it or anything...I guess I can always check again.....If it was kinked does that mean I need a new tube?

the thin plastic capillary tubing they use tends to kink easliy, and once it kinks it will greatly reduce the accuracy of the reading.

If you don't want to deal w/ a fancy psi/bar converter. There's 14.5 psi in 1 bar, so just multiply your bar amount by that. Or divide to go from bar to psi, it's not rocket science.

I think it's important that you look for kinks or cuts in your vacuum line running to the gauge since you relocated it. This will only take you 10 minutes tops.

It's a little black rubber line running directly into the boost gauge. This is the pressure source from the intake manifold. If it's kinked it's just bent at too much of an angle and shouldn't be a problem. I don't see how this would really cause it though, more of a chance that there's a small slit or something in the line causing something like this.

Well, I took a look at the rubber line and it seemed to be fine....no kinks or weirdly twisted.....I dont think there's any slits or anything in the tube although I couldn't remove it entirely to check I just checked for twists and reinstalled it...went for a drive....same thing......now its seems to not even reach 1.0...like....0.7 - 0.9 at WOT and it stays there until redline.....this is frustrating...the car feels fast but im stuck wondering how fast is it really suppose to feel if my boost isn't even at max ...hMMmmmmm

Hi,

Is the 1.5 bars setting a safe setting for stock car?

The stock MR gauge is in kg/cm. equal to .9806 bar or 14.22psi.
1.5 kg/cm=21.33 psi

came back from dealer

Finally went to the dealer and got NOTHING fixed, freakin tech didn't know jack crappidy about the MR. I told them my boost gauge was reading low at .7-.9 where its suppose to be at 1.4 , they said that its running 19psi and everything is fine my boost gauge seems to be fine...Even though its reading like mad low??? he said when he test drove it the boost went "straight up" so its fine??? wtf kinda **** is that its suppose to go UP thats not the problem, its the accuracy, He didn't check the WasteGate or the BOV b/c he said everything seemed fine so he didn't check......and they told me the gauge isn't in inches u know? Im thinkin NO ****IN **** DUH!.......Had to explain to them its suppose to be 20.3psi at 3500k rpm and tapper to 17psi ........sorry for venting........they said the gonna call mitsubishi to ASK THem what to dO.......WTF!? Dealers suck dick

Any news? Please let us know if you find a solution.

Will just buying new guages fix the problem guys? Has anyone installed new guages with the stock tubing and been better? For all we know the guages are great and the connection is the problem.

mine hits 1.5 with the MR dv and it was hitting 1.4 with the stock dv.

from what ive noticed it seems to hit 1.4 in 3rd,4th,5th, and it hits 1.5 in 6th.

take it to a dealer who knows what they are talking about the stock boost for an MR is 20.4psi which is about 1.4 bar
