Why would you use a HKS EIDS with a stand alone running speed density?

He isn't.. He's 10.. But aside from the the EIDS thats one wicked combination of hardware, definitely not a combo I'd want to drive every day though..

400whp is very possible if condition is good with a good tuning

The GT35 is absolutely the wrong choice for every day driving. In my eyes it's just another miss match turbo on our EVOs. The 3037 and the 3071 is the biggest you can go anything after that you are really pushing it and making yourself suffer with NO power at low RPM. (before4K) where people always drive on the streets under 4K RPM. I would either wait for the new Turbo by BR with 20G compressor and the TI bearing or get the 3071.

Im using the BR440 kit. spoolup is within 400rpm of stock in 4th gear from a roll @2000rpm.
in lower gears it's even closer to stock. 2nd gear spoolup is identicle to stock turbo.

the 440 is showing average of 40whp gains over the stock turbo on my car with the EMS.
Our car was prevously doing 113mph trap speeds on pumpgas with the stock turbo, we expect 118mph now with stock cams, fmic, upper pipe, injectors.

Between the 20g and 3037 which turbo will have more hp? The 20G upgrades is much cheaper but after getting all the necessary items for it to work wouldnt that just add close to a ATP 3037 turbo kit which is near $2400?

It depends on which Ancillaries your talking about.. most people should do the requisite "Stage 3 or 4 mods" prior to considering a turbo upgrade anyway.. But if you mean things such as the header and o2 housing, those aren't really necessary and haven't really proven to offer much gains, but I plan on high temp coating everything, and expanding hot gasses into the turbine help spool.. and a smooth outlet (o2 housing) should help flow a little when your dealing with more volume than the stock turbo used to produce..

Figure I paid $400 for my Ti turbo, $200 for the 10.5 housing, $240 for the Compressor cover, another $300 or so for the 20G upgrade (assuming thats what Dave meant) $500 for my header, $200 for the O2 housing and another $300 for the high-temp coatings (guestimate) so your close in price between the two, but you ultimately gain drivability plus real close power gains with the 20G.. If you port your stock exhaust manifold, and O2 housing, then you just buy the turbo, its $1000 less and probably will offer the same basic gains as the combo I did..

I pieced my setup together, but if you add it up, it costs about the same as Buschur's 20G turnkey Ti turbo setup (When it becomes available)

I am getting a little tired of hearing "How much WHP" this turbo or that turbo makes.. Numbers don't mean much if you end up with a car that you don't like driving every day. But this looks to be a winner, it doesnt appear to sacrifice any of the "Stock" drivability of the car, but you have the potential to gain a significant amount of power at the top end.. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 20G Hybrid car break into the 10's not too long after they are released..

What compressor cover are you talking about?

I am very interested in the 20g as well.

In the last prouduct update post from Mr. Buschur, he said in testing in his lightly modded RS with the ti 20g/10.5, it spooled like stock and "hit boost like being rear-ended by a truck"!

Amen

He's referring to the compressor cover fitted to all '05 EVO's.

Buschur will not be offering a ball bearing option on stock turbos. He's stated that in this thread.

Forced performance's TME turbo for $995 is the best bet. Titanium internals and the bigger 10.5 hotside. Better, qiucker spool, more torque and the torque is at a lower rpm. Great for street driving and great for mods. I recently put down 326whp with it, plus other mods too. Once I get some bigger injectors I will be close to 400 whp.
