900 whp? why stop there....how about 1 million hp...hehe. I doubt that 900 hp will ever be reached with pump gas....hell, we haven't even seen an EVO with 900 whp on C16 yet (as far as i know).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the limiting factor is the fuel. You can only cram so much fuel into a confined space (2.0L) before it auto ignites. The more the air/fuel mixture is compressed the more heat that is added to the mixture. Adding a more efficient IC will help reduce the heat from the compression and turbo inefficiencies. Larger turbos are more efficient and add less heat to the mixture as well, but at a certain point 93 octane is unstable. My guess is that the pump gas limit is between 400-500whp. The BR440 is capable of 400 whp...I'm sure the larger turbos (GT35, BR580..etc) are probably capable of a few more ponies but I don't think much more than that.

I made 375 on pump gas (dynapack dyno) on the stock compressor (upgraded Ti & 10.5 hotside) with my setup. I see Buschurs new hybrid making over 400 on pump gas easily. Before the header, O2 housing, and upgraded hot side on the turbo I pulled 12.5 @ 111 in the 1/4 on pump gas full weight (spare in the trunk etc).

There are 4G63s making well over 900HP already. Just not in Evos.

Local customer made just shy of 400awhp on 93 octane and stock turbo. Ran 11.9@117 with best mph of 118.

Geo....what kind of numbers do u think are possible with a upgraded turbo on 93 octane?

Well 4G63 DSMs have done a tad over 500whp and that is with "small" turbos. Personally I don't feel comfortable running the type of boost you have to run to make 500+hp on 93 octane without water/alochol/methanol injection. I'm sure you could make the number on a dyno but I would be uncomfortable driving that hard everyday(top end pulls etc).

Buschur stage 4 with AEM EMS and sheet metal intake manifold. Buschur is developing a turbo upgrade that uses a larger compressor wheel in the stock turbo housing.
