Oil Crush Washer: Is this Ok?

Hey Guys,

Take a look at the picture below. I replaced the two washers on the left with the single nylon washer on the right when i changed my oil. I bought the car used, and this is the first time i've changed the oil, so i do not know if this is stock crush washers or what. Can I use the nylon washer on the right to replace the two aluminum washers on the left?

Let me know what kind of washers you guys are using. Thanks.

I would not use the nylon one. I would use the washer they sell at the dealer. For only a buck it is not worth the risk.

I use the same type of washer, and still no oil on the floor. Plus Mitsu wants something like 2.50 for a freakin washer.

Just get a washer from the dealer and reuse it. I have reused mine 2 or 3 times. It's not a problem.

Any washer is good as long as you don't crank the Sh*t out of it. And make sure it doesn't leak.

I prefer the stock ones though.

you should use a new crush washer every time your drain bolt is removed.

only use a single washer from mits. not 2.

Use only one crush washer. whoever changed the oil last didn't take off the old washer when they put on the new one. When I forget to buy a new crush washer I reuse the old one. Works fine. No leaks
