HKS GT2835 turbo

I was wondering if anyone here has any info on this turbo? I just saw it was out today. It may be something I would consider in the future Any info would help

The only thing I've read that was negative was the exhaust manifold is prone to cracking.

Many different reasons for this have been tossed around like age, condition, installation, material defects, etc.

Thats the only negative I've seen. Other than that, it's one bad-*** turbo kit.

Hi,

IMO, I'd start looking closer to home. There are turbo kits of same quality and at a lower price sold by the same guys that fabricated them in house. Look into AMS, ATP, RnR or Visnu(if near you), for similary sized turbos. Buying from one of them gets their good customer service and can aid a lot in the correct tunning. I'm running ATP's 3071 and have been very happy with the kit and their customer service.

You can get a t3/GT40 hybrid from form cheapturbo.com for around $800. It will be a little laggy compared to the 28/35 but it's a lot less money.
