3071 or 3037?

Santa was at my house and dropped of $$$. So now I am in the market for a new turbo.. I know this subject has been beaten to death and I have been searching for the last 2 hours on these 2 turbos. Here is the conclusion I came to.

3071-
300-500rpm later spool
400whp capable with supporting mods
daily driver friendly

3037
750-1000rpm later spool
460whp capable with supporting mods
daily driver friendly

I am starting to lean towards the 3037, but really haven't been sold on it. One more thing I will probably go with the ATP set-up. So if anyone has some more info that would be appreciated.

The ATP 3037 turbo is a little laggy when compared to a true 3037. It has about the same amount of lag as the BR500 but with about 20 less horsepower (I have gone through alot o work locating dyno graphs of similar cars on the same dyno (DD) with different turbo kits). The only dyno graphs that I have found with the ATP 3071 is a car without cams and a stock cat, which isn't a very good reference. For the price range you are looking at the BR440 is probably going to be better then the ATP 3071 with regard to spool and power. I can't quanitify it though.

Either way, none of these kits are going to be as good, in regards to spool up, as a TT, AMS, or Vishnu equivlent sized kit. The BR440 seems to be a good compromise though.

This is just my opinion since I am looking for a turbo kit also.

I was looking pretty hard at the ATP 3037, but after comparing graphs, I came to the conclusion that ATP kit has T67 (8cm^2) lag with out the top end power.

You should check out the RNR GT3052 turbo with the TO4S 4" inlet compressor housing. It should be the best of both worlds for what you are looking at. And their mainfolds are built to last.
