I am running the Type-S recirculated with the single spring mod and no secondary line. When there is a large change in pressure (3/4 or full throttle to closed) it is a smooth "pshooot" sound, if that makes any sense. It is higher pitched than the stock BOV. With a moderate change in pressure mine sometimes stutters with a fast "tchoo, tchoo, tchoo" sound and my car jerks. As very light pressure changes/throttle changes it has a quiet high pitched whistle. I know that I don't have the spring tension set up right, but I don't know if I should go lighter or stiffer. I am already a couple turns tighter than what was recommended here : http://www.evomoto.com/tech_info.php?tPath=1&tech_id=7

Anyone else have ideas? Good luck with your choice.

yeah, i had mine loosened with both springs in and the lower nipple hooked up to the turbo outlet pipe...never had any flutter or surge, released like stock, but you could over tighten the springs and it would surge, terrible...

so it is not supposed to stutter? it is supposed to be a smooth whoosh sound when recirculated?

I know. I am getting sick of it. I got Dynoflashed today by Mr. Al, and he did not have good things to say about the Greddy Type-S. But it sure looks trick! So I am going to switch to the Forge BOV as recommended by AL. See if that helps.
