We can argue all you guys want, but until a dyno day is held, nothing is going to be solved.

I vote dyno day.

To me, this all sounds overly complicated for maybe the addition of 10WHP and minimal spoolup. I am really thinking Vs. what is actauly being presented is not worth the additional $$$$$$$$$$$$ for the cost of enrty. The way I see it that if you can see past the hype a nice ported cast manifold will offer 9/10's of what you need.

Then again this is my opinion and I could be wrong.

It comes down to what you're using the car for, IMO.

If it's mainly a street car, stick with cast.
If it's a track car and you're looking to squeeze out every last ounce of power, go with a header.

As for who to buy it from, I'd go with whomever you're most comfortable buying from. Or who has the nicest collector and is willing to stand behind their product.

I'd also like to know the difference in weight between the stock or cast manifold and the tubular manifolds offered. The front of the Evo is a good place to lose all the weight you can

Tube headers are usually lighter, just by virtue of the fact that cast iron is denser than stainless steel.

I am wondering How well the Buschur Caste Manifold will flow or Even a Ported Stock Evo Manifold will flow Vs. the $1,000 Manifold. IDK,I really can't see past all this Hype. to me what is being presented is overly complicated.

To me, having a tube header on a car is about squeezing every last ounce from your project. You can sustain more boost to redline with a properly thought through plumbing system. That includes good flow on both the intake and exhaust sides.

For a street car, it might be overkill. Most of the mani's sell because they look nice. I think there's only a few nutcases (myself included) that want one because it allows the motor to breathe a little better.

I don't know it all, but from my experience, the "perfect" manifold has equal length runners, a nice collector and not a lot of slag inside the tubing. But what the hell do I know?

For anyone interested, the coated header that I posted pictures of above is for sale. This will mount a GT35R turbo in the EVO8. I have the turbos and oil lines too. YOU will have to fab your own 02 housing. It is a T3 flange. For a do-it-yourselfer this would be a cheap way to put a kit together.

$600 for the header, it's here if anyone wants it.
