How do you like it and can the filter be cleaned like K&N? I know cold air is not necessary for turbo cars but the aluminum box looks tight and it should help keep water out in heavy rain.

i have one. you just take the top part of the box with an hex key and then your free to clean your filter. also if you have a BR mini battery, you will have to cut your box.

the mini battery extends a few inches past the fuse box so the box needs to be cut.

Since the Apexi filter kit does not come with ss piping do you know which one to get that would fit? BTW if I do change the ss piping does that mean my maf would have to be removed as well?

I assume you meant a piping to go with Apexi filter AND box. Any piping works with stock airbox should do the trick, such as Cusco, DejonTool, and Helix. And you don't remove your MAF sensor. The SS pipe uses a silicon coupling to connect to the OEM MAF.

Besides the looks and keeping rain out do you think it will help in performance wise? Do you have to take out any stock parts out to make it fit, like battery or intercooler spray?

I got one and I am very happy with it. It was a pain in the *** to install though. Looks pimp and it is actually really functional. I ran the car without the box and then with it and noticed a significant differance. Nothing else besides the stock airbox is removed to install.

Do you get the increased induction noise with the filter inside the box ie is it louder than the stock induction noise?

With the box where does it get air from? Whats so hard about installing the box? Some say the filter was a pain but thats only because of that one bracket thats hard to reach.
