I think I may pick that nice one up from autozone whenever the SES comes back on.. if it does. Would be nice just to have one around so I can rent it to friends and what not

I bought this POS and it doesn't work. It may be a defective one, but it didn't work. I bought it at a local harbor freight when it was on sale, so 15 bucks down the drain isn't too bad. I spend more than that at the gentlemans club!!!

mine works fine, and ive cleared many of my codes as well as others,(just return it)the only complaint i have is the fitment around the obd2 port is kinda tight, but for the price its worth it and whenever a code comes up i can pull over and check it

Yup. Auto Zone scans it for free. They also have other OBDII for cheaper like $69 bucks. I think the only difference is that it doesn't let you delete the code. I'm not a 100% sure, but I saw 2 OBDII models at Auto Zone and the $150 one they use can delete codes. I just didn't see an erase button on the other one.

Do a search for Creader on ebay. Shipped for $48. I just ordered one and will report on it after I use it.

sorry for the OT.
I don't know what the sampling rate exactly is, but this paints a very clear picture of what's going on in my motor. Here's my last log on 4-3-05

RPMS-O2'S-TMA

2804 0.91 5
3003 0.91 3
3253 0.91 3
3519 0.91 6
3808 0.91 7
4089 0.91 7
4375 0.93 7
4691 0.93 6
4968 0.93 8
5238 0.93 7
5507 0.93 8
5742 0.93 11
6000 0.93 14
6230 0.93 10
6441 0.93 12
6644 0.95 16
6855 0.95 18
7023 0.95 19

Lean below 4000 RPMS, knocking at 4300-4600, 5200, and 6200, and a little rich 6600 and up. A little adjustment with the AFC-II and I'm off to tune 650's.
And the logger still clears codes.

I did pick up one of these and it works great. Reads off the codes and can clear them. Best $50 spent yet.

I just got a brand new Creader this week off ebay and it did not work. I have an SES light (P0420 code) but Creader was throwing an internal error code, not recognizing the OBD system. I contacted the seller and he said he had problems with it as well on DSM cars and I can return the unit.

Before I return Creader, for those who claim it is working, what is your procedure for using this gadget - just to make sure I did not miss anything. Thanks.

Whenever I plug it in I get the following sequence:

-1-
-2-
-3-
<pause>
-4-
-5-
E

Skiracer and Wojo, what do you get?
