I think you're right.. I'll have to give them a call when I get home.

Did you guys install a SS line and or remove the restrictor with your act clutch?

Correct. It's actually a 2992.45672345 lb pressure plate. Well, thats only an average...today...

I wish I could get people off the 2100, 2600, 2900 lb thing but old habits die hard I guess. The clamp loads vary a bit so we just advertise them as Heavy Duty, Xtreme, and Maxx Xtreme respectively. We never advertised them with the clamp loads but for some reason DSM people got hooked on the load ratings long ago. For the EVO we only have one pressure plate and it's a Heavy Duty which tests about 3000-3100 new and settle in about 100lbs lighter after it's broken in. For reference the stock pressure plate is about 2200-2250lbs (new).

That is the Exedy part number that we modify and place our linings on. The linings should have our logo on them (old logo) and it should be SFI certified, dated, etc. by us. Email a photo if it is not.

maybe they stuck a stock disc with the act pressure plate.

But, yeah, don't dump it high RPM.

If you're going to (must) do this, do it at redline, then dump it hard with full throttle.

Least that way, you have less chance of hopping and more chance of spinning your wheels.

However, people who's done that 4 months ago, don't have a T-case and transmission anymore.

this is what I see....just didnt see your guys model number engraved anywhere...I see the date, etc, and the SFI sticker and local on the surface of the disk.

and the other is how the package was slitted open inside the kit box. its new and unused though...haha

hey Dan, yeah I had actually thought of this recently. I still have it in, and also have a SS clutch line that i did a long time ago. Cant say that really helped much, but yeah what are the pros and cons of it? Ive just left it in just in case...guess thats why im at 37K on the stock clutch and no slipping.

Pro's are longer clutch life, better feel at pedal,
Cons are will void powertrain warranty if something breaks and provides major shock to drivetrain if you like "dumping clutch" as it allows quick engagement of clutch.
Dirk can chime in about this with his clutch,as he can provide alot more info on it.
