Flashing service w/ a core exchange?

Is there anyone that offers a core exchange for flashed ECU's? So my car has no down time? Thanks.

The ignition key is tied to your individual ECU. You'd have to get a new key made via Mitsu for the "temporary" new ECU. Might be fun to explain why.

It's a pain in the a$$ but 3 days ... overnight out, reflash and ship, overnight back. I recommend Works.

For a mail in flash I would get a Works P2.

But even more recommended than that is to wait until TurboTrix comes to your town and get a custom tune. More power, tuned to your personal mods, and no down time.

A friend of mine did this sort of thing with his SRT-4.. Only problem is none of the local dealships will flash it with his VIN.. they think it's stolen or they are just plain stupid.

I'm not sure about other companies but the turnaround on a dynoflash mail in is very fast.

With most people's flashes i.e. Dynoflash, Vishnu, Works, etc, there really isn't any down time at all with sending you your ecu back.

How would an MBC and a flash compare power wise?

WORKS does.

We also have core ECUs in stock at all times. The only issue is that once you receive it, you have to drive to a Mitsubishi Dealership or well equipped Mitsubishi specialist to have the new ECU synched to the immobilizer computer with your key.

If you want to send in your ECU to have it flashed with the P1 or P2, we have same day turn around to minimize your down time.

I recommend you ask the dealer if they will do it before you order the ECU. Otherwise you're going to have a lot more downtime than if you mailed it in. Either way you're going to have some downtime. Get a rental if you're that worried
