I have this same whine when downshifting but thats with all stock fluids. I have 19,000 miles on the car and havent changed the trans, tc or rear diff fluids yet. So changing back to stock fluids may not do anything for your noise.

One year with the factory fluid and no noise and one year with the BG and some tranny whine....kinda sux, but I really don't wanna go back to the factory stuff.

I'm now using the RL light weight shock proof in the x-fer case and the same with RL friction modifier in the rear diff. with good results. I'm about to roll over 40k on the odometer on the car with all but 3k of that on straight Pennzoil Synchromesh... all seems well, shifts like butter cold... or super hot.
