trackjunkie,

Nothing to explain. The EVO's are close to 3400 pounds empty. Add to that a driver/passenger and what do you come up with?

Maybe options make a difference that mitsu does not take into consideration, but as listed:

rs: 3219 -----------------------(3219 + 406 = 3625)
ix: 3263 [3338 w/sunroof]-(3338 + 287 = 3625)
mr: 3285 ----------------------(3285 + 340 = 3625)

Im sure it still adds up somehow to 3625...but id still like to hear how it adds up if its not too much trouble, ie when u say evos are 3400lbs empty...which evo are u refering to, which one did u guys work on (rs, ix, mr), and does this 3400lb figure iclude a full tank of gas where the figures posted by mitsu dont?...ty

Not sure where you got your numbers from. A stock EVO8 is 3263 empty, no fuel. An EVO8 RS is 3175 empty no fuel, no wing, no a/c. The MR is close to the normal 8 in weight.

Add two adults to any of them and you are close to the setting the Mustang Dyno wants you to input into the dyno for the pulls which is 3625.

Fuel is about 6.5 pounds per gallon tank holds about 15 pounds, that's 97 pounds in fuel.

It's not to tough to figure out.

Congrats on the success of this promotion Dave. I think it's a matter of "when", not "if" other Mistubishi dealers will reach out to local tuners for these type of FQ-ish packages. The Evo is a great car but Mitsubishi's overall sales are slow, as we all know. If they're not gonna get serious about bringing Ralliart to the USDM and taking advantage of the Evo aftermarket, then they'll need to take some chances and streamline these types of performance packages. Not doing so would essentially be leaving money on the table. Very few people who buy these cars have any intention of keeping them stock. Doesn't Mitsubishi corporate get that?

Thanks David, appreciate the info. I was a bit confused as i thought in a previous post in this thread that you were going to try and do it with other dealerships.

In post #48 you wrote...

"Yes, we will still be working with the dealership next year. Maybe by next year we will be working with more dealers"

I would assume that it just didn't work out. I'm definitely not calling you out or anything just wanted to get an update on how that action was going.

Once again thanks for the Information. I guess it wouldn't be too bad to fly out to Medina and drive one back.

*edit* (main reason for the reply)

By the way how's things coming with the BR-400 Package? Have you guys been working on that one?

Mitsubishi corporate does realize that supporting the aftermarket is going to boost business. Just this year they had two seperate parties they through for the aftermarket. One in California and one at the factory in Illinois. Great time. They are also bringing the Ralliart division to the USA.

As for the BR400 kit, we haven't done anything more as going that far is going to mess with the warranty.
