Walbro's DAMN annoying....
ok so my walbro is whining like crazy....
it's very loud inside the car.....
its not loud as in VERY LOUD..
but it's loud enough that it gets annoying......
I can even hear it clear standing outside the car....
i'd really like to change it to another brand if there is another brand....
anyone know???? or maybe anyone has the solution to stop that freaking whining sound???????? it's sickening!!

yeah but i think mine is loud as people who rides in my car notices it....
and even I who drive the car everyday notice it sometimes as too loud...
i dont think i heard it for the first few monthss... but just abt a month ago then i noticed it....
you guys think there's another brand of FP that is good???

I noticed the same noise lately from my Walbro. It has been warming up here temperature wise. Inside the car there is an ambient humming noise... outside it is really loud. The noises are typical from my understanding. Maybe some Dynomat under the seat would help?

do you have anything in the ways of a grounding system? sometimes when the pump doesn't get enough voltage, it whines even more. i have the walbro 255 and i don't ever hear the whine. as far as an alternative, there are a few, but walbro is the best bang for buck option.

dont forget if your running full voltage to the pump at idle or low rpms the pump will be louder.. if not dont complaine..cause it will get alot louder... look at it this way, if its buzzing your running good..if its not your leaning out or your not moving..

IF you run a bigger gauge wire directly to the pump to give it more current, it will whine less. Did that on mine, and the whining is significantly less than you dun notice it.
Itw working harder at a lower current and thus will only see 11 V at the pump, with the upgrade I'm seeing over 13V at the pump.
Also at that voltage level, flow is increased significantly
Its worth a try.

I have grounding wires and I don't hear the pump at all. I hope that the pump isn't installed wrong. I got tuned last weekend and the car runs great. Maybe the grounding wires keeps it from whining.
