walbro fuel pump loud or no?

walbro fuel pump loud or no?

i had a 255 walbro on my 91 tsi it was loud as hell i hated it..........is the pump for the evo the same way? if so is there other quieter options?

Same^^^ Not loud at all. Even with the radio off you have to try to hear it.

Never even noticed a difference until I was playing around on the highway on a hot day at high speeds.

sometimes it seems louder than others. sometimes after spirited driving, and sometimes when i'm just sitting in the garage waiting for the car to warm up. Any other time i can't hear it.

I think what I have in my car is the 255lph "high-pressure" pump and it is loud. I can hear it over my TB exhuast!

if installed correctly on the evo's, it makes a slight whine at idle. i like that cuz that assures me it's working.

when i first installed it, it was pretyt loud. then after driving it and adding a grounding kit its barely noticable

Mine's pretty damned loud as hell... the reason it's not as lound after you drive for awhile is you get used to it... but yes, mine's very very loud.

the seat really quiets it down. only time I hear it is when it's really heated up.
