Will mitsu fix my syncros w/ my mods?..
Ok my syncros arent doing so well, 4th gear grinds at high RPMs, first doesnt engage sometimes and 3rd is notchy sometimes. I have 46k on a 2003 Evo with the following drivetrain related mods:
Stainless steel clutch line
ACT HDSS Clutch w/ Stock flywheel
Redline MT90 in tranny and Royal Purple 75w90 in T/C
Short throw shifter
adjusted clutch pedal to get rid of free play
ES 8pc in car shifter bushings.
Thing is: the syncro issue came BEFORE all these mods, but the Dealership doesnt know that. Should i even bother going to the dealership about my syncros or will i just get my warranty voided?

I HIGHLY doubt they will cover it, I wouldn't waste my time, just suck it up and dish out the cash. If you knew about the prob before you installed all the aftermarket parts, why didnt you try to get it fixed then?

hoenstly i think they might its not like u have a turbo upgrade u dont have much they probly wont know about the short shifter and bushings the yellow on the clutch is probly gone and will resemble the stock one... it really depends on how **** and crazy the dealer is...

Yes they will, if you go to the right dealership. Try and find a mod friendly dealership around
you. Remember there's a TSB out for the synchros. I have a good relationship with my local
dealer and had mine replaced 2 weeks ago under warranty.

from what i've heard the clutch will NOT void a warrranty as long as it was installed correctly, i mean my local dealership installed a friend's aftermarket clutch at the dealership. I mean the only thing im willing to put back is the Shifter, but i dont feel like taking the SS out, going to the dealer and have them say no,and come back home and reinstall the short shifter.
