Effectiveness of a Turboback Exhaust

From what I have seen a turboback exhaust yields around pretty low around 15hp? Is a turboback exhaust really necessary for future modifications and are the differences between stock and an aftermarket exhaust noticeable?

Also is it possible to get a 3" downpipe and mount it on an otherwise stock exhaust?

A 3" turbo-back exhaust is the absolute most power for $ ratio mod you can do on our cars... whoever told you a 3" TBE yeilds 15hp over stock is lying.

full 3" turbo back is more like 30whp......if you want to do it in stages start with the catback, then HFC or test pipe, and finally the downpipe......yes you will feel the difference

you want a turboback! plain and simple! i have seen stock evo's on the dyno with turbobacks, your right they do not yeild lots of power, still a touch more than 15whp.. BUT, incouple that with a intake and a few ecu ajustments and the numbers are staggering!!! i saw a stock evo put down 217awhp and 221awtq on a mustang dyno, we then installed a 3"in turboback, new intake, and a ecu reflash and the car put down an astounding 291awhp and 289awtq... that is quite an increase.. belive me buddy tbe exhaust's are your friend!

We rarely see gains of more than 15whp with a turbo-back (equipped with free flow cat). With a cat-less turboback, we see gains of up to 25whp. Combined with appropriate engine management (ecu reflash or xede), these gains become 40whp and 60whp respectively.

So with supporting mods the TBE will have more of an effect?

B&B was able to get a 25whp addition with their catback using the STOCK cat.
