Octane Booster...no good...questions

I second torco. I used to dump 32 oz can in my 400whp wrx and run my race gas map with no problems.. Torco most definetly raises octane, even better then toulene, or xylene. You need much more of either of those 2 to get the same result as a can, or even half a can of torco..

where [Mn] is the manganese concentration in mg/L and A is the volume percent of aromatics.
So for 93RON, 20% aromatics, and 18mg/L of Mn (a pretty standard concentration from refineries where its used) you get a boost of 1.7.
For 50L of gas that's 0.9g of Mn or about 3.7g MMT. Taking toluene at 110RON you need 5L of it and 45L of gas. Plug in some prices and there you go.

I just called Torco to make a technical inquiry. I was informed that it isn't a toluene/xylene mix, which is counter to my initial assumption.
Anyway, according to one of their staff members, one 32oz can in 10 gal of 93oct fuel is claimed to raise the octane of the fuel to 99. Two cans for the same 10 gal is claimed to yield 104 oct. If this is true, given a 15 gal tank of 93 oct for an EVO and $16/32 oz can of this concentrate:
1.5 cans = $24 = One full tank of ~99 oct.
3 cans = $48 = One full tank of ~104 oct.
Naturally, I'm not including the cost of the fuel, but if one offers $2.50/gal for pump 93, then it works out to $61.50 for 15 gal at 99oct ($4.10/gal net) and $85.5 for 15 gal at 104 oct ($5.70/gal net).
I have no means of verifying this, so I suggest approaching it with skpeticism and take it FWIW.

The TORCO Accelerator works and I have been using it for more than a year for every tank full.
It isnt a racegas replacement. If I am gonna mix two cans in every tank might as well get race gas instead. But 5-8+ octane number increase per can(depending on mix ratio ofcourse), it just cant be beat.
Much easier to use than mixing toulene/xylene at home, and not harmful to the fuel line/seals etc. You can carry a few cans with you in the car also. Its the perfect solution for high compression/turbo cars who just need that little extra octane for safe daily driving.

Another vote for torco. It really works. I have done extensive testing via knock sensor on the AEM and with as little as 2oz per gallon you can see a very noticable difference.
It isn't race fuel but it is the best octane boost out there by far. Cheap and safe.

13 gallons of 93 octane is 1209 octane
1 gallon of 114 octane (toluene) is 114 octane
This is 1323 total octane. So 1323/14 total gallons (volume) is 94.5 octane gas you've made. That 7% Toluene in your gas tank. When you mix, don't exceed 30% Toluene to pump gas... Have fun and hang on from 5,000rpm to redline...

I REcently just picked up a bottle of NOS Octane booster(Race formula). It claims to be 60 points= 6 full numbers... so that equates to 99oct... from one 12oz bottle.. considering the bottle was 10.99 and its ingredient says nitro methane... well just have to see at the track...
