I have the same problem shifting from 1st to 2nd at high rpms, but i think the clutch is causing it. I got 21k on stock clutch and i think its not engaging all the way in and the pedal is real high also. Ive mis-shifted10+ times but never grinds. Also what helps is that 2nd has 3 syncros so it wont wear out as much as 4th and 5th

missing 2nd is a driver error....if the car is modded and u want warranty work done ...then u better be in good with the service team

Yeah his warrenty would transfer to you .. under 3/36 it will... hows down shifting?

downshiftin is good, i dont do it too much but when i do, its fine.
