yeah just sounds like you were being a little paranoid. i had the same problem after i installed my AEM and the root of the problem was just like many people here described.....the car needed a lot more fuel at idle to stay happy. the idle would also dip when the fan kicked on and when the AC was turned on. Don't worry just raise the idle a little, add more fuel or both.
