I really don't think Dave was trolling, he asked a perfectly legit question. It was even asked later on by other members. Use YOUR brain man..........

The car pictured with the GT40 on it and the custom header belongs to our customer Matt Smith.

When it was built the car had a 2.0 in it and ran a 10.8 at 134.8 mph.

Matt came back in Friday (9-9-05) after installing one of our 2.26 liter engines and we threw it on the dyno. The car had only been started and checked for leaks. The car put down 580 whp on our MD AWD dyno.

Loaded it up quick and headed to the track the same night. First pass the car ran 12.2 at 140 mph! Horrible bog off the line and then a short shift to 3rd.

Short of the story, since it is posted elsewhere, the car ran the next 6 passes all in the 10's with a best of 10.26 at 144.17 mph! This is with the stock wheels, brakes, full interior (minus the rear seats and door panels) and on a set of Nitto 555 tires-NOT drag radials. Sixty foot time was only a 1.73. Look for this car to drop into the 9's.

Nice job driving Matt!
