How to check for a collapsed lifter?

I am doing my cams right now. Went to bleed the lifters and all were the same besides 3.

I would stick the hex key down inside the lifter push. The head would move down and oil would squirt out the side. Then on the intake side the 1st 2nd and 4th lifters(counting from the timing gears right) would do everything the same just the head of the lift would not move down.

I do not want to put it back together with a collapsed lifter please if you know please post ASAP so I can get my car going again.

Thanks in advance.

From what I read, if u can push the lifter down without placing the pin in the lifter, ur lifter is phucked. Good luck and wish me luck when I install
