Flutter and Stall?

Need help!

I just had installed the following mods: (All Buschur)

Intake + Pipe
Downpipe
Highflow Cat
3'' I/C Pipe - Battery Kit
Flash

I already had a 3'' Catback & Greddy BOV installed (Recirculating). Now, when I step on the gas I hear a fluttering noise. Also, when I'm switching gears, my engine almost stalls. It did once today coming out of 2nd gear into neutral.

I think the issue is my blowoff valve which is either too hard or too soft. Which way should I adjust it to fix the stall issue and flutter?

Thanks.

I have a Bypass valve wich operates very much like a BoV.
I had to pit washers in the valve to increase teh tension on the spring. Try increasing teh spring compression in the BoV.

Most likley it is too stiff. Just keep trying softer settings and test in 5th gear a low rpms on and off boost till the flutter goes away.

Yes, it sounds like an issue with the BOV spring.

Did you perform the spring mod? If not you need to do it.

This is only if you have the greddy type S. IF you have the jdm bov there's not much you can do since the spring tension is not adjustable.

To answer the first guys question....I had the same issues with the Type-s, Follow the steps for the single spring mod and everything will be fine.

Sounds like compressor surge to me. From what I hear a blowthrough MAF should help.

The problem is with the BOV, notice how a new BOV or the Single Spring mod fixes the issue, puilling out a sping seems a lot more econimical then spending the cash on another BOV. Seems like pulling out 8 screws is alot easier ........ but hey its your money.
