Tilton will have a official press release about it later this week.The noise you hear at idle in a metallic clutch (exedy, tilton, ap, quartermaster, clutchmasters twin ) is the drive lugs contacting the floaters and the pressure ring. It is normal and a characteristic of this type of clutch.
During coast down the tilton makes no more noise than the exedy twin.
Tilton is slao the most versatile, 2 pressure plate ratios........6 diaghram spring options and perhaps the best record of any manufacturer in competitive motorsports.

Tilton will be a push-type, using a concentric hydraulic release bearing that eliminates the external slave cylinder and related linkage. The hydrtaulic release bearing assembly will mount inside the bellhousing/transmission. The kit will a include steel braided clutch line to connect to the stock master cylinder.

More info from Tilton:
We originally developed the hybrid clutch for Performance Nissan who we
worked with to develop clutch package for 350Z applications. The feedback
they provided was that the hybrid clutch was good for street use, engaging
very smooth when compared to the full cerametallic clutch. The carbon
clutches also engagement very smoothly, but the price is about double.
We are hoping to start shipping assemblies by July 29th. The assemblies
will include a 7.25" 2-plate clutch, billet steel flywheel and a hydraulic
release bearing assembly that replaces the stock slave cylinder and related
linkage. They will be one of our most "bolt-in" clutch package offered,
designed to work with the stock master cylinder (other application require
changing the master cylinder to a larger bore size). We have engineered the
clutch-flywheel-assembly to provide lower weight/inertia for more wheel
horsepower, but not too low of weight/inertia that would negatively effect
drivability.
Suggested Retail Pricing:
Cerametallic package: $1795
Hybrid package: $1825
Carbon package: $3995
We are finalizing a flyer that will show these clutch packages. We hope to
have further information on our website by Friday. I have attached a
spreadsheet that lists all our sport compact/import offerings, including
prices, weights and torque capacities.
Weights from the .xls (includes HRB):
Carbon-Carbon: 16.2 lbs
Cerametallic: 19.1 lbs
Hybrid: 19.1 lbs

An Exedy twin can be purchased for much less than $1700.00 and performs very well.
Even the Quarter Master clutches we sell are $1700 with the hydraulic throwout bearing worth $400.00. Both come with a lightened flywheel.
The real question is how many people are ready to dish out that much money for a clutch? We have sold several of the Exedy Twins but not like they are hot cakes and our price is very low.
For the majority this clutch overkill. For power-making weekend warriors and most racers and Exedy or QM is the choice, only the elite enthusiast/racer will be willing to spend this much on a clutch. I wish they all were like the latter.

Question is , IS your opinion based on the fact that you sell Exedy and QM ????

I'm not quite sure why someone would choose a QM over a Tilton if the price is the same.
It's expensive to do a clutch job on an Evo, so why not invest some money in the clutch itself, rather than on the labor changing them?

I've not heard of anyone running the Tilton yet... It will be interesting to see if there are any issues what so ever. It's not like they have a name or anything 
I've also only heard of domestics running the quartermaster stuff... which in and of itself is just as meaningless to me...
