plastic shield under car
#3
I think its there for a reason, Protection and directing Airflow, I would leave it on there. I have the APR splitter under my car, and it replaces the whole undertray, but its FLAT, not contoured with vanes, etc, so it looks like mine is still protecting, but not using the "vanes" like on the stock one, for air routing.

Most racers leave it off for easy access to the underbody (tranny, IC, Piping). It does in fact have air flow directors that direct air to the brakes, not to mention the aerodynamic advantage of having smoother air flowing under the car at higher speeds.

I think its one of the worst designed pains in my *** ever. Those little clip screws take forever and of course I'm always wishing I could get under there for something. Every time I drop a socket and hear that "clack clack" sound on the plastic I curse loudly. I still leave it on though for protection and airflow, but I wish someone would make one that had easier removal with good fit. I would prefer real screws to those plastic things. Put too much force on the driver and they just spin laughing in your face.
