yes you can.....35r can't really be unleashed without a bottom end build, 30r is perfect for a stock motor IMO

and have you ever tried tracking a car with a turbo that big? like a road course...its on the brink of impossible.

just opinions though

You should be able to make it with a 60trim. It probably has a stage 3 wheel and is good for approx. 55lbs/min you should make 400whp on pump, no problem I'd think. Turbotrix sells their kit with a 50 trim I think and they have two dyno sheets on their site of cars making over 400whp. White rabbit and gt35r are the most popular turbos on this site, but not the only options... Just my 2 cents.

ams kits are 4300.....but if you get a kit from slickmotorsports it comes with ALLL new intercooler piping and everything imaginable you would need for about the same price....but thats a lot more than 1900....hell, the ATP kit costs more than that.

Sorry but a 400 whp pump gas car is most likely not going to be fun on a 1.4 mile track. What really is fun about the Evo on the track is mid-turn corrections with the throttle. A big laggy turbo that will net you 400 whp is probably going to be too laggy to do that very well. Why not go with ~405 reliable brake horsepower like the FQ400? There isn't much on the track that can beat an FQ400 and it's plenty fast. If you are just chasing that 400 whp number & that's your deal more power to you, I just noticed you said you aren't trying for a straight-line car so I threw in my $0.02. Good Luck.

Edit: I bet 272's would get you a lot more power up top. I saw a guy go 12.17 @ 116.xx mph on a stock clutch w/ just 272's, TTM reflash, TBE, and intake. That's just nutty. That's quicker than a 400hp Z06.

nice post, and i agree with you....but i like to kick *** at both types of events....and i don't wanna have to push the hell out of the turbo to run mid 11s at the strip....and still want the part throttle peppyness to be there...so its hard...im probably going WR personally...the stocker is good for now though

and FWIW, my friend ran a 12.04@117.5 in his bone stock z06...but you are right, its quicker than most

i jus read more in the thread and the car made most power on pump gas was 373 on the White Rabbit.....but all you would need is some 272 cams and the white rabbit should get you to break the 400whp mark

Tell that to road race engineering. T-67 on their car which is bigger than a 35r.

A 35r with 91 pump is slow and laggy. Driving the 35r for a daily would not be fun. Anyone can argue their point but the 35r with 91 pump gas to me is just slow. The WR will hit 400awhp easily with boltons on 91 pump gas and spool like stock and awesome torque curve. It isn't hype when others have been running it for a while.

I didn't see anybody mention stroking the motor. A couple good options are available including 2.2 and 2.3 liter stroker kits. I haven't seen any dyno results but the claims are pretty high gains. Check those out, might help you get a lot closer to your goal. They are pricey though, but I've seen the pics of your garage, I'm sure you can afford it
