Is this the wrong turbo for what i want my car to do(1.4mile)?? Are there differences in turbos like not as much lag, less top end and more lag more topend, whats betterr for the 1.4. someone told me that torque is a good factor in the 1/4 mile>?
Wait, have you been meaning to say 1/4-mile this whole time? I thought you were trying to figure out how to do well on a 1.4-mile track...

If i was you i would just get the alky use ur 60 trim and u will make over 400whp.

im trying to find out what kind of numbers i will have..because right now my car is in the shop getting tuned/dynoed. Yes warrtalon..i have been trying to say 1/4 mile(quarter mile) this whole time, sorry if there was any confussion. as i do most of my driving(racing) from stop light to stoplight and just 1/4 mile runs, i want it to be the fastest i can get it. I am going to run race fuel..and i know i can reach 400whp easy, but the whole point was trying to obtain this bench mark on regular everyday gas/driving. ya TURBOTSIAWD i could get alky..but then i have to refill..worry aobut running out, and i dont think that would fall into the category of what i want it to be a "daily" driver..(i.e my example of streeetable daily driver is; go to the pump, fill up make your max hp...not worry aobut if the alky is hookedup/filled...what the mixture of my 91/100 octane is...switching maps..etc etc)

What do you think I can do if I upped the boost to 21-22psi(more then 330awhp is all I can tell you). 345+awhp is catless with the same conditions, nothing touched..... I could've had higher numbers if I was running 12.1afr but that's not what I want to run daily. This dyno they use the tail pipe sniffer to so that run higher afr's.

all this white rabbit talk is pretty retarted in this thread.

The turbo he already HAS is bigger and better than the white rabbit for drag racing!!

his turbo should be capable of over 500whp on racegas tuned correctly and could run him into the 10's with everything setup right. The E60/Stage3 turbo should be completely capable of making 400whp at street boost levels on pumpgas.

IMHO the turbo is not holding him back at 3XX hp level.

not to mention that white rabbit turbo has been out for all of 2 weeks, and the only results are from dyno's of the guys selling the turbo. If you go by those results solely, why do all the AMS gt35R owners not have 667whp? Relax and calm down on the hype. I don't see anyone going fast on it yet. That is not like "stick it on and have 400whp on pump".

I would say if money is no object, get a better turbo, ball bearing..

Intake manifold, t/b, big injectors, bigger front mount I/C, some head porting, and definately bigger cams, 264's are weak.. You may want to redo the fuel system if you want 400+awhp on 91 pump..

All of the turbos from 3071 to 3076 to GT35R will not make substantially different power on pump gas, especially 91 Octane (we're talking at best +/- 20whp here). With full supporting mods (IC, 280 cams, injectors, etc.) all three of them should clear 400whp (not bhp, which is weaksauce) on an AWD DynoJet. Will the WR hit 400 on 91? Maaybe.

Be very careful about what you ask for. 400whp is certainly possible, but depending on your choice of turbo, you may sacrifice tons of low-end torque to make that kind of horsepower (point-in-case a GT35R on 91 Octane, or even worse a T67). IMO what you should really be shooting for is a max TORQUE number, not HP. If you have torque, the HP will usually follow.

Stroked, cams, headwork, fmic, good tune, and your current turbo should be more than enough and very very drivable.

I hate to bust your bubble, but if you think that he can run 91 octane gas and run enough boost on a 35R to make 400 HP, you have been terribly missinformed. The GT35R is a high pressure turbo and really does not to start to come alive until 25-26 psi. There's no way he can do that on 91 without knock. If you have a secret way of making that happen, call or pm me quick. You'll be my hero!

Pay attention, the whole thread is based on 91oct with no help from alky, NOS, or race gas...

how about cam gears and port and polish. i don't know if you make enough hp to justify, but FPR and throttle body. changing cams to 272s or 280s will hurt low end power while improving overall and up top power. it also would hurt drivability. you should get a 264/272 combo, or 272/264. if you were going to buy a new turbo, you might as well get the stroker kit. with the money you already paid for your turbo, and the money for the new turbo you'd be getting, a stroker kit would be a better investment.
