I drive my car daily and run 100% alky there is a lite that lets you know when to you need to fill up. It is easily aquired u can get it at any hardware store in the paint section. It is a master at surpressing knock raises octane and cools the intake charge like you wouldnt believe. With a turbo like a 60 trim boost levels like 20 psi on pump 91 which i think would be close to max due to kncok would be useless. That turbo needs more boost to get into to its efficiency zone and the alky will let you do that safely. If you want u can even order a 55 gallon drum from vp fuels for around 270 that will last you. With the current parts you have i think the alky will be the easiest to put over the mark 370 whp is common with alky on stock turbo with the parts you have.....I made 363 and 388 stock turbo

The GT35R is a high pressure turbo and really does not to start to come alive until 25-26 psi. There's no way he can do that on 91 without knock. I believe a few cars, out here in Cali, have made over 400 whp on a gt35r with 91 octane. Dont see why people are saying its impossible. Wish I could remember the drivers names. Ill have to reseach it. Its definately in the tuning.

A 35r will make over 400whp on 91, the only problem is going to be the llllaaaaaggggg and the horrible torque curve. A smaller turbo (like the 3071/3076) will be faster overall on pump, since it will have a much wider powerband and better spool.

I agree, 25-26 psi on even 93 is dumb. I'm dead serious, if you can do it at 23 psi, I'll happily drive to Houston and pay your price. If you feel like you can make it happen, please pm me. I'll be one happy dude!

400hp on pump has been done over and over on the DSMs, and the EVO is no different. Been there, done that. Some cams, a 50trim turbo, and optionally a sheetmetal intake should do the trick on straight pump gas with an EMS controlling everything. 22psi or so. Done.
A GT35R will also do it on pump gas, sacrificing a little bit of spool, but with a LOT more potential when you turn the boost up. There is no secret to making the power, you just have to flow the air. If you want to make power on low octane, you need to rev a little higher with an intake and cams. Me personally, I would not risk being on the edge on 100% pump gas, as the quality of the gas varies from tank to tank. I would run 14-16psi on straight pump gas, and leave the rest up to alky. Run alky all the time, and just drop to low boost when you are out of it. Make 450whp with good spool, have your cake, and eat it too.

yeah..400AWHP is what i really want...not 400hp(crank)
my guidlines are:
stock displacement
no nos
no alky
no nteercooler sprayer
91 cali gas
now from what i have heard form all of you guys, it pretty much depends on the EMS/tuner/ and turbo. I dont really care about the lag...as long as it puts me in the 12's. If thats the case, and my 60trim is not suffecient enough, what will be? rememeber, i dont really care if this is a track car..i want it to be a quarter mile car. if i do upgrade my turbo..will a gt35r..gt30r fit up to my manifold, or will i now have to replace that also?? thanks guys for the input

So, yes they are in the same family, but a GT35R is not considered to be in the GT30R group any more than a GT42R. Not sure about the 3037s turbos, since I've heard that they can be the same as a GT3076R, but can also differ significantly, depending on which HKS version you go with.
