Yes you need to take out the smaller inside spring

Mine wont fit to my Buschur UICP with 1g flange so it has to be welded.

You might as well start saving up for a new bov, they do not last long and when you start uping the boost they will leak!! FYI

Isn't the RS good for up to 30 psi?

HORRIBLE. I bought my car with one on there. The car was having major compressor surge, and even stalled on me a couple times, and that was with it tightened up.

Sold it for a Forge recirculating.

i like it all around... w/ correct adjustment surge isnt common and holds boost abit better then stock at mid 20's psi

I was having trouble with mine getting stuck open when on high boost.... I just had to ttighten up the bolt in the center to put more tenson on the spring, and haven't had any problems since.... No need that i know of to modify the BOV works fine

if it gets stuck open, could also mean u got alot of dirt buildup in there. i opened mine up to do spring mod when i bought it then installed it. after 1000 miles i saw the oil partially dried up already and there was some dirt. cleaned and reoiled, good as new!

also dont forget to teflon tape the top screw, its a source for boost leak

Thread resurrection!
I've had this BOV for almost 2 years and I'm still trying to figure out how I want to adjust it. The one spring mod seems better for street driving and both springs seem to perform better on track although with both springs it seems prone to surge in certain part throttle scenarios.
I have tried the 1g, crushed 1g and both the dejon kit and the RS seems better for me. I may buy a new BOV just to try something different. I also wonder how much of a role my Buschur UICP plays in the behavior of the BOV? Hmmm

personally ive had my greddy rs mine is set at two-three threads from totally stiff...i can hear a small pshh even at 5 psi, but im tuned to run 26 psi peak, i think honestly in your driveability issues, a good tuner should be able to tune it out from stalling at idle....very seldomly do I get that issue.
