Greddy RS BOV

I just bought the Greddy RS BOV which I am going to recirculate. If any members have this installed are you doing the single spring mod or using it as it comes. I want to hold off installing until I have this information. If you have it how do you like it.

Thanks in advance

I think most have run it as it comes? because of the new design, i dont think modding it is necessary.

I'd like to know for sure too, as i am looking at getting one.

Just wanted to post and let you know how I made out. Installed the RS as it comes and it was getting compressor surge and fluttering at partial boost.

I then took it out and did the one spring mod as with Greddy S and set the adjustment screw three turns from first contact.

It works wonderfully at that setting. No fluttering and no surge. I have a Helix intake and all you get is a nice chuff when you shift, no more whisteling. Hope this helps. Holds boost and idles great.

No, I've had the car new since June 2003, it has 58,000 miles on it. I've just recently had 264's, turboback, intake, hard pipes installed. It was also custom tuned by Al.
I also just put on the Tein basics as my stock coilovers were shot. It's like a new car again. Runs like a beast. About 25K of the miles on the car are from round trips to Florida. Oh yeah, I'm still on the stock clutch and knock on wood, it's holding great.

I used to have this bov and I did the one spring mod. You just take out the smaller of the two springs. I had it for about 8 months and the diaphragm crapped out on me. It started to flutter on me and I opened it up to find 3 cuts. I just put my stocker back on after that since it's like $40 just for a new diaphragm. When it was working it was great. Post #7 states the reason I also did this mod.

Everyone i know with this bov did the single spring and liked it much better. Eventually they all went with a crushed 1G valve and were 10x happier. Stock like driveability, no surging and smooth idle. If they were running very high boost with meth or race gas they installed the dejon fix in the 1G and problem with high boost leak gone.
