Bone stock 05 EVO hits 1.46 BAR in second gear???

i just installed a blitz TT this morning with a buddy of mine who owns an 05 MR. The Blitz TT has a built in digital boost gauge.

upon completion of the install, I went and took a test drive to see what boost the car hits, so anyways, In second gear giving it near WOT I hit 1.46 BAR (today is an 80 degree day), then in third gear I floored it on a roll and hit 1.5 BAR....

My buddy was getting excited for me telling me that my car boosts higher than his 05 MR..... so does this mean I have a bone stock factory freak??

Later on we discussed about adding a TBE w/o changing anything else and he told me that the car might overboost and added that i should throw in my EVC 5 to bring the boost down a bit....

what do you guys think?
does my car boost higher than the average factory stock 05 EVO?

here is a pic after the wash and detail

Honestly I'd say the gauge is off by at least 1psi... I wouldn't trust a TT gauge, but you never know...

I installed the defi D boost gauge 2 weeks ago on my 05. I get 21psi peak boost then it goes down to between 15 and 17 psi. I was surprised to get 21psi since it seems like most people are getting 19 or so.

I have an 05' and that seems about right to me. I hold just under 1.4 bar in 5th gear, but peak at 1.5. I peak at about 1.4 in second.

Sounds like the guage may be off although I have heard of some 05's running some pretty crazy boost from the factory. Oh yea, good color BTW. Just watch out for bumble bee's. They apparently will think your car is the biggest flower in the world and they will swarm the damn thing with all of their buddies.

The Blitz TT will record even a transient spike. So 1.46 BAR (21.17 PSI) is really nothing to get excited about. Did you get the reading from the TT in peak boost mode? If so, switch from the peak boost mode to normal boost to see what your sustained boost level is. It will always be less than your transient peak reading.

my 05 will routinely spike to 21~22, but will quickly settle to 19-20 and then drop from there.

I have the same TT and I've hit 1.47 on my 04 RS w/Helix CB and BR intake, I hit 1.35 quite consistently but I'm sure the gauge is just off
