need help! clutch question

my evo is basicly stock cept for k&n drop in and hks bov. I have roughly 1500 miles. So it was raining one night and i decided to rev it to 5 grand and drop it, i spinned all 4 of course, and then i was like damn my clutch smells, im sure we all have done this, so its been like 4 or 5 days now and my damn clutch still smells. any reason why its like this, its pissin me off even tho it shifts and sounds fine, could i have done something? should i go to the Dealer and get this checked out or is it suppose to go away ??

If your clutch has been acting fine, then I say wait and see if the smell goes away. If your clutch starts acting up tho, definately take it to Mitsu.

They are most likely not going to warranty a clutch.

This is normal in the evo. It will go away in a couple of days, that smell is horrible huh.

Thats pretty bad it still smells 4-5 days later, usually when you burn your clutch bad it will smell for a day or two tops. When I completely blew my stock clutch, it smelled for one day. Also, I wouldn't bring your car to Mitsu if it still smells.

Mitsubishi will charge you an arm and a leg for a new clutch, and then theyll void your warranty on top of that. Youre better off not taking it to them.
