Question Gain to expect with Catback?

I recently purchased an RMR catback exhaust and was woundering am I going to notice a difference in power? I also have an RMR intake, MBC (21psi) and DynoFlash. Should I purchase a cat delete as well? I don't want the car to be too loud.

the catback should give you 10-15WHP .... if you get a cat delete your car will become a lot louder ... try the catback 1st because your car will get louder with just a catback and see if you like it before you get a catdelete (be a little environmentally friendly if you can by getting a high flow cat instead)

dp, throw your cat out.

that'll give you a lot more power.

but 10~12 will be my thinking too, or even less.. but you should tune it again, mind as well, get tbe then tune.

i don't think removing the cat will give you huge difference in noise.
it's the muffler and piping size that makes the noise.
removing the cat will increase the noise but not that much.
i just got my 3inch cat back piping with 3inch muffler, it got really loud.
i don't know about +10whp, but you can feel the difference for sure.

I have an RS-R downpipe w/ cat delete and catback, sucker would set off car alarms all the time. I put in the silencer that came with it and it is alot quieter, especially inside the cabin. No more car alarms going off either. Didn't seem to give up that much power either. Seems to be just a little bit louder than stock. This setup was proven to make about 17 hp to the wheels by TPR magazine. (without silencer)

I ran my old Civic catless for a few days, and it was damn loud!!! (pulled harder too haha). Dunno about an Evo in a similar scenario, but I got annoyed by it pretty quick...

hmmm... just don't try running a civic catless without some kind of exhaust... you'll be going nowhere without that back pressure, if you're sans turbo.

anyhow, it's all up to your personal preference on whether you wanna inch out a few more ponies and deal with the noise, or just take it as it is.

removing the cat will definately make the car louder...but it will make your turbo spool up much faster..you can ever notice it without a boost gauge..

better yet...removing the cat and installing the cat-back with a downpipe should free out about ~10 horses

Cool...thanks everyone for the feedback. I will install the catback first and see how that feels before purchasing the cat delete. Having a new baby next week so money is getting tight.

I'm very happy with my Ralliart cat-back, it is a 2,5" and gave me 15AWHP with a G-tech meter.
BTW, NO noise, similar to stock.
