John at TRE

John, Im going to be tearing the car down in the next three weeks and definitely sending the tranny, possibly the t-case for the spider gear swap. Figuring the tranny is 1200, the t-case is 1000 plus 500 for the spider gears, bringing us to 2700, plus shipping, what would the turn around time be? Shes my daily driver, so I could really use it quickly. Also, I just want to know if Im accurate with the guesstimates I took price-wise, off of the website.

Umm, why are you concerned? I believe that if an answer that is searchable in this forum can help someone else, I'll post it. Is that OK with you, or should I edit my post to make it friendlier?

As a mod I have no problem with this post since it is drivetrain related.... but I would not expect Jon at TRE to notice it. And if you start bumping it trying to get him to see it and reply rather than PMing him I will lock the thread.

You would be much better off just calling him. You can then post his answers.

Yeah, 'cause everyone likes seeing threads full of worthless "Bump for John" replies. At least PM him the link to this thread....

You're the one making the thread worthless by adding this useless banter. Leave my post alone. If he replies, he does. If he doesn't, he doesn't. Just shut up or read, dont add your pi$$ poor attitude to something that might be useful to someone.

Go ahead, close the thread. There really needs to be something done about everyone jumping in and constantly slamming people trying to stimulate decent comversation around here. This BB has become nothing but bad attitudes, know-it-alls and honestly, might probably be the last post Im ever making here.

I think its a valid question and think it should be posted. This way if Jon does reply other people can see what to expect as far as turn around time. I have a tranny being shipped to Jon as we speak. he told me for the tranny you could expect 2 days or so that he would need it, I dont know about the TC. He also told me shipping is 4-5 days each way, so you have to figure 2 weeks just in shipping (and UPS sux) Hope that helps a bit.

Anyone know if Jon at TRE even posts here? TRE is not a vendor, and I can't find any listing under the J's in the members list that bring TRE to mind.... Now I understand why you didn't PM him.

Email jon jon@teamrip.com (best contact method) or give them a call at 269.382.2669.
