My AC is no longer cold anymore

So this summer, two years after getting the Evo, I've noticed my AC starting to suck really badly. It takes a long time get cold, and as soon as I come to a stop at a red light, the AC stops being cold.

Is it time to replace the coolant?

go to the dealer and have them check/recharge the system. the refrigerant will absorb water and become less efficient over time. It's also not uncommon for there to be some small leakage around the seals (especially if you don't use the defroster during the winter occasionally). You're probably jsut a little low on R134A.

Yeah, more than likely there is moisture in the system and refrigerant is low. What I wouldn't recommend is getting one of those DIY kits from Autozone or whatever, since it takes a very precise amount of refrigerant to make it work correctly. Too little OR too much can make it not cold. Just make sure if they charge it, they suck it down and get any moisture out of the system, which a lot of places ignore.

Should it be a warranty issue?

No, I wouldn't think it would be deemed warranty.

You don't think the A/C not keeping the car cold after 20,000 miles would not be covered? My Nissan still blew cold after 120,000 miles and I would expect that from my Evo.
