Awesome Dave! I was planning on ordering my 20G TME either tomorrow or Monday.. should I hold off until you're finished tweaking the turbo?
I'm talking about on your dyno.. I put down 296 with stock turbo @ 21/22psi tapering a bit. I think mid 300's should be pretty easy to get

Just got back from SEMA. Going to work on the 4 big projects this week.
#1, Mike'ss car to tune this morning.
#2, Keith's new RS to tune.
#3, Build new lower i/c pipes for all of our FMIC kits, the EVO9 is going to need new plumbing built completely, hoping to make one good new kit for the 8's and 9's.
#4, Build a new header/turbo kit for our black shop car, probably need an hoist to hold this new turbo in place, it is that big
The 20G is ON the RS right now, I just have to use the car to mock up lower i/c pipes first. Been a long time coming, a lot of guys have been requesting them.

Keith's car is done. Mike's car is half done. The 20g is NOT on my RS. I needed more parts to do the install which I ordered yesterday. Sorry. I'm on the job though

Mikes' car is done, Keith's is picked up. Header for the black car is 1 runner and the wastegate from being done. RS is still awaiting parts, hope to have them tomorrow. I can't wait to put the results up, I hope they are as outstanding as I think they are going to be!!

The turbo is on the RS, nothing fits anymore. I had to order another part which I am having overnighted in, the testing will take place on 11-10-05, Friday for sure. I want to get this done and posted before the weekend.
The main purpose of this is the elimination of the compressor surge. Although in the process I think there is going to be some additional power made too. The car made 376 whp and 396 ft lbs. I don't know if it will make much more peak but I am atleast hoping to carry the curve out further.
Also, I believe the car is full of 94 octane right now. Probably going to tune it like that as there is too much gas in it to mix or bother draining it. I don't think I have dyno'd it on pump gas yet, so it will be interesting to see what it makes.
I'd love to be able to make 400 whp on our dyno with this set-up but that is getting very high for a turbo this size. That would be around 470 whp on a Dynojet, crazy.
The 20G that we have been using and selling quites making any considerable additional power after 30 psi of boost. I think that could also change with this new design.
I AM EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!
One other thing, we have a ported shroud compressor cover in the works for the EVO8 and EVO9 turbos. Not sure how much longer it will be but the prototype is finished.

No, I can't do a ballbearing version of the turbo and don't really see the need to add the expense. The spool up is crazy fast as it is, it would just add un-needed expense to the turbo.
