Castrol GTX for 1st service

Tommorow is my first 1000 miles service the oil they will use is castrol gtx semi synthetic not fully synthetic they said the fist service shouldnt be fully synthetic they will use it on my 2nd service.

what oil did you guys use ?

Ah...I don't think so! The dealer should only use Mobil 1 on Evo.

Comes with mobil should leave with mobil one.. tell them they should read up on the evo

Ah blends...all the shortcomings of both dino and synthetic, and the full benefits of neither. Awesome.

mobile 1, but i did hear something about having a non synthetic for the first 1000 miles.

don't know if it's true.

Before they put these motors in our engine bays they ran it first to check them. They ran it with Mobil 1.

Factory used synthetic oil so we should run the same or better. Should upgrade not downgrade.

i used red line oil full synthetic,good for turbo cars.

use mobile 1, royal purple, or amsoil- all hi grade full full synthetic, not reformualted mineral oil like castrol syntec. any use of non-synthetic will void warranty. if there is any question, look on the oil cap!

My Evo is an import to the UK and this is my local ralliart service ... he said that they use castrol semi synthatic for the first 1000 miles on the fq400 because the other fq's do there service at 4000 shall i buy Mobil 1 15w-50 and let them use it to my car ?
