Wow, i thought when you disconnected the vacuum line to the waste gate, you got spring pressure, somthing like 14 psi or so. I got 30 PSI. Am i confused or do i have a problem???? Ray

Yup Jack is right. And that actually happened to me last night, I put the boost line from my BC to the WG on the top of the Tial wg so it was going up to about 25ish and I shut down right away, I was supposed to put it on the side of the wg.

We were data logging and were on top of it. No knock logged. We imediately let off. I guess i had it backwards. I thought the pressure to the actuator helped keep it closed and if you were only on spring pressure it would unseat the WG at around 14 PSI. We were trying to figure out why my friends car has extreme MAF fluctuations and thought it could be a weak waste gate actuator not staying shut.
