The megan DP supplies another donut gasket......unless this big heavy lead like thing is not considered a donut.

That's wierd... I need to get back with them and see if they took my suggestion to use an OEish donut down pipe flange. You used to only get a flat circular gasket made of the same material as the other ones provided.

Does the Megan Racing use a flange intended for a 3" O2 housing ?

The pipe that meets the O2 housing is actually bigger than 3"...the donut gasket that gets inserted is 3" inner diameter.....mine is just like the stock donut but a bigger. I dont believe the flanges are in contact with one another. I suppose the spring bolts would be the hot ticket in this config.

Hmm... I guess EVERYTHING on the car should be left alone then since the PRO's at mitsu designed it, and lord knows they cant be wrong...

can they?

^^ Why bother mitsu pros would have thought of that.

ANYWAY

I have the Megan setup and have had 0 problems with it. Try a lock washer, if not try a lock nut on the end of the bolts itself.

Lets not go starting anything here......I was just providing a helpful heads up to all aftermarket downpipe owners. Who knows this could be from something I did wrong (not likely) but I wanted to hear everyones take on it.

I love my Megan TBE!
