ehhhh... I dunno.
I wouldn't recommend it - but your TC isn't going to blow up the second you pour it in.
If you need it to 'get you by' untill you can get something better, I think that will suit you just fine.
However, as everyone else has mentioned - Diaqueen is the choice of champs!

I've run the Mobil 1 75W90 in the TC and rear diff (+ friction modifier in the rear ) and GM Synchromesh in the main tranny for 25K miles, many track days, many auto-x days, and a few drag strip nights, with no ill results. I have 55K miles on all components. Still works like a champ, and the shifts just keep getting smoother the more miles I put on it.

Bringing this back from the dead. I am just curious as to why. It's a full synthetic and it's the GL-5 class. I'm changing my out in the next month or so. Going to use the DiaQueen but was just trying to find out a good reason as to why not to use Mobil 1 stuff.

I've always run it in my rear diff and T-case since 30K miles with no problems (added friction modifier in the rear diff), but in the tranny it doesn't work for crap. Locked me out of every gear. Not viscous enough for the synchros to have enough friction to mesh with one another I'm guessing. I guess I'm lucky with it in the diffs as others have experienced problems...but my driveline has over 110K miles on it and it's still running strong...

I know this doesn't go in the tranny. Not going to do that. I'm just trying to find hard evidence as to why it's any different than the diaqueen. None of this "well it cost me my rear end crap". I could go out and beat the crap out of my car with diaqueen in it. Then swap out to this and the next time I launch it hard, the rear could go out due to the fact of the previous beatings. Some knowledgable person has to know the answer.

We are car owners not petroleum engineers. Each of us, with possible rare exceptions, owns one Evo. So, from each of us you get a sample of one. The only way to reach an answer to a question like yours is to read a lot of opinions and experiences. There is a lot of just that here if you employ SEARCH. The result, if you read enough, is called a consensus. That is the best you are going to get from a board like this.
