Yup! Don't remove it, but in another thread someone fixed theirs with an allen wrench of the appropriate size pushing from the good side to the bent side since both are hexagonal.

Yes, leave the honeycomb in. On my Talon, I found that if you slide in a certain size allen/hex wrench you could restore the little honeycombs prefectly.

unless they're ripped, you could just fix the alignement for them.

I've actually did a similar but not as bad as you make it sound.

Just took some of my small pliers and fixed it right up.

You could also goto the junk yard and get talon, 2g eclipse maf sensor and swap out the honeycomb part of it.

yes, they create the vortex which in turn, karman vortex reader reads to evaluate the amount of air coming in, through the amount of the turbulance in the air passing through.

junk yard or the dealership.

i don't know if you could just get the maf honeycomb...

last i heard it was $600 for the maf sensor... dealer retail.

just have to find people with standalone system. try to get their maf sensor if you can't get the honeycomb seperately.

The 2g maf has a total of 4 honeycomb sections, I think. (been a long time since I ran mass air on my 96 GSX) So I do not think you can use them. I will try and look ity up on the CAPS ( EVO parts CD rom) tomorrow. If there is a part number for the honeycombs I will find it.
