Upper IC Blowing off under boost

I have the HKS upper IC and SSQV, anything over 21lbs blows the pipe off the fitting on the IC side. Looking for recommendations..

Adhesive?
Screw it on through the rubber?

Try these....

Hair spray on the surfaces.

T-clamps.

silicone hoses.

Then if those don't work... maybe screw thru them both.

what cajun said. I had the same problem and used hairspray. I want to get some t-bolts too but so far the hairspray is working great.

T-bolts...one of the greatest investments you can do for your car...

cost about 4 bux a pop...but they work...they really really work...

How about a muffler clamp? I'm thinking its a combination of problems..

1. Hose clamping force is not sufficient at the upper IC joint
2. Engine torque moves the motor

Combined, the IC pipe overcomes the clamp in combination with the air flow.

I have the weapon-R torque damper, but haven't installed it yet. I will try that. I am going to pick up a muffler clamp, t-bolt and probably will hair spray the hose tonight as well.

I'm hoping Buschur has those motor mounts out soon, that will be great to have as well!

Sucked to put back on a hot motor too, kept bumping my hand on the samco radiator hose and the IC Pipe was heat soaked.

I thought I was toast, 1.5bar of boost in 3rd gear hauling *** and heard a bang... then rolled over to side of road thinking a giant hole was about to be sucked into my wallet

I almost crapped myself, was so glad was just the IC

RRE recommends their heavy duty clamps, that's what they use on their own cars without any problems. I have them on my car and with the alky, I've run 26-28 psi without them ever blowing off. They also carry the t-bolt clamps as well.

I bought Samco fittings for the upper IC pipe last night from:

http://www.9secondracing.com/Mitsubi...anceparts.html

2 3/8 to 2 3/4 inch reducer for the Upper to IC connection
2 3/4 90 degree elbow for Upper IC to intake manifold connection

I wasn't able to find any t-bolts locally so I ordered Hose Techniques T-bolt clamps:

https://viewthewebsite.com/hosetechn...-Bolt%20Clamps

60267-33 T-Bolt Clamps 100% Stainless Steel T-Bolt Clamps x 1
60317-33 T-Bolt Clamps 100% Stainless Steel T-Bolt Clamps x3
