'03 GSR, I'm on my 2nd tranny, 15k on it, redline fluid (not sure which one but its pink). First tranny went 40k, and was replaced by dealer under warranty for p0300, same pink redline fluid but I didn't notice it being harder to get into gear until after the bushing/short shifter swap.

My buddy's got 17k or so on his '04 GSR - stock fluids.

 

hehe i dont want to know what you did to tranny to go at 40k. do most people go there anyhow. if so say drive car hard. becasue i drive my hard every day. i have 05 if that matter. and fluid i think that has a lot to do with it. im thinking of changing lots of fluids. i have 8200miles so 10000 i will do somthing. and do brack lines with new fluid too haha sweet.

 

I am using Penzoil Syncromesh and have been very happy with it.

 

I had a kartboy setup in my 2003, and it shifted like butter. I was using BG however in the tranny.

 

Actually, my first tranny was fine at 40k. Mitsu replaced the tranny because they would've had another p0300 lemon if they didn't.

Nice. I just ordered 3 quarts of BG for my tranny, I hope that improves the feel. Good timing I suppose, it's time for a fluid change anyway.
