Most of the customer cars we build on the west coast are either Road Racing cars or strictly all around street cars. Our shop car has made big power, but we only take it to National events. There are only a few of them out here if you know what I mean. It seems like all the big Drag events are located on the East Coast.

Good luck with this project. It gets brought up from time to time on the DSM forums, but no one ever goes through with it. The common conclusion is that the cylinder walls would be too thin.
Can any old non truck 4GXX block be made to work with an Evo head? The Astron used the 2.6L 4G54 block, could it not be used? Then you don't have to worry about excessive boring. Hopefully that car wasn't RWD.
EDIT: Whoops, just found out it came in RWD or AWD which would have been transfer case style longitudinal setups. I think that would mean it wouldn't bolt up to an Evo (transverse/FWD) style tranny.

I love the car and it is a great daily driver but I am always toying with the idea of doing something different. We were the first ones to build a 2.4 EVO 8 and have it running in a car. I like to be different and try new things. We will also be the first ones to have a 2.7 liter 4cyl in an EVO. We are really excited about this project and believe it will give our customers a whole new outlook on their build-ups.

Why would I put an estimate in my sig? Anyway the old set up with a GT4067 at 38psi dropping to 35psi, it made that power.

So it made 731 at 38psi, not 35PSI. Maybe you should make that sig a little more accurate.
